Reflection: I loved going to Balboa Park to take pictures it was so fun especially when I was writing my blog earlier and it all deleted but you know its always darkest before the dawn. Humanities: This is the image I used for my writing piece. Composition: I tried to fill the frame with the subject. I was really impressed on how the photo looked when it appeared on my monitor. I liked how the background of the image filled in all of the empty space of the image. I also chose this image because the man was smiling. His smile is in the right third of the image which is supposed to draw the eye. The main and only light source of this image is the sun. The sun was shining from above onto his hat. When changing the image to black and white the light that was hitting the hat was acting like a hair light separating the hat from the background. I edited it in color at first and focus a lot on the colors. I then realized I had to edit a black and white image. I had to restart my processing in a way. I tried to use contrast to my advantage in this image because I think images that have dark blacks and bright whites look better than your average black and white shot. Photos of the Week:
